Youth Worship
The youth worship ministry at Calvary Chapel Placerville exists for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our desire is to create a musical environment conducive to genuine worship in the life of His church. This can only happen as we are submitted to His will and empowered by His Holy Spirit.

We also believe that an essential part of discipleship training is teaching students, through God’s Word, the significance of corporate worship in the Body of Christ. The focus of the Youth Worship ministry is to train up the next generation of worship leaders by encouraging them in the art of singing and playing instruments as well as teaching them what the proper heart toward worship should be and the importance of relying upon God’s Holy Spirit.
Our training is twofold. We start each practice with a time of prayer and studying God’s Word. After our time of devotions, we move on to actual practice. Each practice is full of instruction and practical applications to singing and playing instruments. We work very hard to teach students the importance of teamwork and not “solo entertainment”. Our desire is to have their focus be on entering into worship and leading others to that place, not simply just “sounding good” to those listening.
Our goal is first teaching the students to serve the needs of our youth ministry and congregation through worship services, concerts, and special events, and second to be missionary minded with plans to reach to the local, regional, and global community as Jesus guides, enables, and provides.
